On Friday, January 27 2017, in the Aula Pessina of the University of Naples Federico II, a new chapter of the “My Story “event will be explored. [Scroll down for Italian version]
The conference “My Story: Positive experiences of migrants and refugees” has been organised by Euroform RFS within the project “Europe for Citizens “, coordinated by EAVI.
The event will be dedicated to the idea of an active and democratic participation in the migration phenomenon and the prospects that can result from an optimal integration.
The main focus will be on the potential of storytelling as a vehicle for intercultural encounter.
It will be a great opportunity to investigate some important issues as the role of the media in the migration representation, the way the world of communications describes the current news and the media’s relevance in migrants’ life.
Representatives of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels, the European Association Viewers Interests (EAVI), the Association Charter of Rome and the Cooperative Dedalus will be attending the event.
The programme includes the screening of the video-documentary “My Story” during the morning, and the afternoon workshop “Storytelling and digital media success” run by the Holden School from Turin.

MyStory. Esperienze positive di migranti e rifugiati
Venerdì 27 gennaio 2017, alle 9, presso l’Aula Pessina dell’Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, si terrà il convegno “My Story. Esperienze positive di migranti e rifugiati”, organizzato da EuroformRFS nell’ambito del progetto “Europe for Citizens”, your project 577396-CITIZ-1-2016-1-BE-CITIZ-CIV – My story – Media and Migrants (Strand 2, measure 3).
L’evento sarà dedicato al tema della partecipazione democratica attiva, dei flussi migratori e alle prospettive future che possono derivare da un’integrazione ottimale e alle potenzialità dello storytelling come veicolo di incontro interculturale. Sarà l’occasione per approfondire alcune tematiche di grande rilievo quale l’importanza dei media all’interno della questione migratoria, il modo in cui il mondo della comunicazione descrive la cronaca attuale sul tema e la rilevanza che hanno i mezzi di comunicazione nella vita del migrante.
Alla giornata prenderanno parte, il Rettore dell’Università Federico II di Napoli, autorevoli esponenti dell’Ateneo federiciano, rappresentanti dell’Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency di Bruxelles, dell’EAVI European Association for Viewers Interests, dell’Associazione Carta di Roma e della Cooperativa Sociale Dedalus.
Nel corso dell’evento sarà presentato in anteprima nazionale il docu-video “My Story”; nel pomeriggio i lavori proseguiranno con il WorkShop “Storytelling e digital media di successo” a cura della Scuola Holden di Torino.
